The first Vision Workshops for the Ninth Line lands are scheduled for May 28th at Garry W. Morden Centre and June 4th at Oscar Peterson Public School. The purpose of this first community workshop is to explain the study and develop an initial vision and guiding principles for the lands. The workshop will begin at 6:30 p.m. and generally include the following:
- Presentation on opportunities and constraints to set the context (based on background information collected);
- Top priorities exercise to determine participants’ top 3 priorities;
- Thematic workstations (based on background information) where participants can discuss and provide feedback;
- Report back by the Consultant on discussion at the workstations.
The workshops in each location are the same so you need only attend the one most convenient for you. I look forward to seeing you there and engaging in a fruitful discussion on the future development of these lands.
The city has developed a web site focused specifically on the lands in this corridor, including historical information, interesting facts and an interactive map: www.mississauga.ca/ninthline
