Vandals have returned to Ward 10 this spring with another incident of graffiti in one of our parks. The defacing of public property is a serious offense with significant consequences. Police have made arrests related to graffiti in Ward 10 in the past and are investigating this incident. If you have any information that could lead to an arrest, please call Peel Crimestoppers anonymously. If you suspect that someone you know is involved in acts of graffiti, you can step in by having a conversation with them that may just change the course of their future for the better.
Parks staff are aware of this graffiti on the washroom facility at Churchill Meadows Community Common and are working to get the specialized materials to remove it. Of course, this is an expensive exercise that ends up costing the taxpayer. I want to thank the residents who have alerted our office about this vandalism and appreciate your understanding and patience as we try to deal with it as quickly as possible under these challenging circumstances.
