I am so grateful to the dozens of residents who took time to participate in our Trees of Hope project. By adding an ornament or ribbon to the trees, you demonstrated your appreciation and sent a message of hope and encouragement to the healthcare professionals working in our hospitals, long-term care homes and elsewhere during this long-lasting pandemic. I hope to enlarge the photo below and present it to Trillium Health Partners CEO Michelle DiEmanuele on behalf of all of us as a visual reminder and expression of thanks for the exhausting work carried out by our healthcare heroes.

Even though the pandemic isn’t over and this work carries on, we decided to conclude the Trees of Hope project at this time and invite anyone who put something on the tree to retrieve their item before February 17. Following that, we will take down any remaining items and save them for perhaps another use in the future.

My thanks to the Churchill Meadows and Lisgar residents associations for assisting in promotion of this project locally.
