The City of Mississauga is undertaking sediment removal and maintenance of Pond 5704, which is located at the southwest corner of Winston Churchill Boulevard and Tacc Drive. Construction work is expected to begin on or after May 31, and conclude by November 30, 2021. This project includes construction of temporary access roads to the pond, removing the water to allow for excavation and maintenance and some erosion control work. Once all construction has been completed, the pond and all surrounding disturbed areas will be fully restored.

Local Impacts:
There will be some construction related dust, noise, and traffic delays. The City will make every effort to reduce the impacts and your patience and cooperation are appreciated. Work will occur between 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday. Work after hours will be limited and only on an as-needed basis. Construction vehicles and equipment will access the site form Tacc Drive and Winston Churchill Boulevard. The sidewalk on the south side of Tacc Drive may be temporally closed. Construction vehicles and equipment may park on Tacc Drive. The possibility of temporary disruptions to utilities (i.e. gas, hydro, water, telecommunications and cable TV) is very low. If disruption occurs , every effort will be made to promptly restore service.
