Churchill Meadows Community Centre and Sports Park is now open.

The Churchill Meadows Community Centre and Sports Park at 5320 Ninth Line is now open to the public. This new facility is pristine and stunning at first glance and you’ll appreciate the attention to detail in the construction of the building and outdoor play amenities.  I’m grateful to the residents and user groups for the input given into just what our community centre should offer the public at this particular location. It is filled with such great amenities for you, your family and our community to enjoy. There are some workers on site doing some finishing touches so please take care if you plan a visit this week.

The City of Mississauga has developed a page on its website highlighting what features are available when you visit. View it here.

A short video has also been produced, introducing you to staff in charge of the facility as well as a welcome message from me, your Councillor. You can view that here.

Residents can sign up for drop-in programs. Registered programs – including swimming lessons – start in October and registrations are being accepted now through ActiveMississauga.ca.

The official Grand Opening ceremony and fun day will take place on Saturday, October 9 starting at 5 pm until about 8:30. Advanced reservations will be required in order to manage the capacity limits due to COVID-19. Details on how to reserve a spot are still being finalized and should be ready soon. Check back to my website in a few days, or sign up to receive my “Sue’s eNews” bulletins directly to your Inbox with timely information about the grand opening and other news and information about our community.
