The park improvement at Trafalgar Common is of the construction projects that was delayed from 2021 to 2022 due to COVID-19. I’m happy to share that work is expected to begin in May to provide the enhancements, including trail reconstruction and widening to the 3 metre city-standard, new benches with a new configuration of seating at the corner of McDowell Drive and Long Valley Road, and some fun, interactive games permanently painted on the trail near the playground.
I want to thank the community, especially the residents of Wrigglesworth Crescent, who met with myself and staff at the park to talk about these improvements, and for your patience in getting this work done. I’m confident the changes will be appreciated by park users and the neighbourhood as a whole.
