I want to thank the approximately 100 people that attended the community meeting I held on June 21, 2023 where Mattamy Homes presented its latest development proposal to the public for comments and questions. The site for this development is located on the west side of Ninth Line between Derry Road and Britannia Road. The slide deck that was presented at the meeting is available here. Some more work and refinement to the plan is still required. The application is at the draft plan approval stage, which includes getting approvals for public road layout and major development blocks (ie: where the low-rise buildings, school, green spaces are proposed). An estimated timeline for construction is still unknown, though could begin anywhere from 18 to 36 months from now.
