I’m so proud of our spectacular Churchill Meadows Community Centre at 5320 Ninth Line for its beautiful, sustainable and functional design and how it has served the Ward 10 community and beyond so well since opening in 2021. On Feb. 13, my executive assistant David Raakman and I were part of a delegation to Ottawa to witness the architects of this stunning building receiving the Governor General’s Medal for Architecture. This is the 20th design award for CMCC, and the most prestigious! Only 12 projects across Canada received this distinction over the past two-year award period.
