The High Water Protocol has been adjusted to add another criteria to trigger the monitoring of water levels in the foundation drain collector. It is now as follows:
Deploying the City’s Emergency Repair Contractor and three, four inch pumps to predefined locations as a result of the following triggers:
o Credit Valley Conservation Authority, Conservation Halton, or Toronto and Region Conservation Authority Flood Outlook Statements.
o Rain forecast greater than 25mm/24 hr duration and/or rain forecast of greater that five mm per hour.
o When the risk of thunderstorms is forecast.
o When the there is significant amounts of snow/ice on the ground and rain is forecast.
